Wornington Green celebrates community spirit at annual fun day 

Residents in Wornington Green, Kensington, gathered to enjoy a day of family activities and live entertainment at the annual Community Fun Day on Sunday 14 September.

Organised by Peabody in partnership with the Venture Centre community association and the Wornington Green Community Group, the event featured a variety of free activities, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. 

Highlights included a circus skills workshop, face painting, a 360-photo booth, a creative zone to design your own pouch bags, a tombola and lucky dip.  

Plenty of delicious food was on offer, including complimentary burgers and chips, along with a selection of drinks. DJ News Agent and Grace Food generously donated soft drinks, snacks, and bottled water, helping to keep everyone refreshed throughout the day. 

The lively atmosphere was perfectly complemented by live music from the talented Glissando Steel Orchestra. 

PPCR Associates, the Independent Tenants Advisor for Wornington Green and Portobello Square, was on hand to share information about the new Resident Association and the services available to residents.  

Community Living Well attended to promote the Talking Therapy service, available to everyone who lives and works in Kensington and Chelsea. 

One person who attended the event said: “The complimentary stalls and activities were great!” Another added: “I loved the event, the burgers were delicious!”
