Peabody Chief Executive becomes new G15 Chair

Ian McDermott, Chief Executive at Peabody, has today become the new Chair of the G15 group of London’s largest housing associations.
Published: 02/06/2025
Ian will be supported by Clare Miller, Chief Executive at Clarion Housing, who will take on the role of Vice Chair.
Ian succeeds Fiona Fletcher-Smith, Chief Executive at L&Q, who has chaired the group since June 2023.
Responsibility for chairing the G15 rotates between members every two years. Ian McDermott will therefore Chair the group until 1 June 2027.
The G15 is a membership network and the ‘collective voice’ of 11 of London’s largest not-for-profit housing associations. Some members have homes across England, but the focus of G15 activity is on looking after residents’ homes and supporting and delivering social and affordable homes in London. G15 members collectively own and manage over 880,000 homes around the country, provide a home for around one in ten Londoners and build more than 10,000 new homes each year. Last year, around £2 billion was invested in residents’ homes, ensuring they are well maintained and safe from fire and from damp and mould risks.
Membership currently consists of Peabody, Clarion, L&Q, A2Dominion, Riverside, Southern Housing, MTVH, The Guinness Partnership, Hyde, Notting Hill Genesis, and Sovereign Network Group.
