Your typical day could start with providing technical advice on building defects and diagnosis to the organisation. Then you might be carrying out post inspections of works to help better manage contactors. You’ll work alongside Customer Operations teams to support a programme of regular site inspections to identify repair, maintenance and property management issues.

As a Building Surveyor you’ll be an integral part of the operational delivery of Peabody’s repairs, maintenance and property services. Working within one of our regional operational teams, and reporting into the Regional Property Services Manager, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of day-to-day & major repairs, voids / empty homes and planned preventative maintenance.

With a particular focus on closely and collaboratively working with colleagues, stakeholders and supply chain partners across Peabody, you’ll provide technical expertise within your local area, driving improvements and offering a first-class service to our customers.

You’re a customer and resident focused person who likes to get things done. You’ll enjoy working collaboratively with other teams and you’re first rate at building meaningful relationships across the business to enable you to find creative solutions to issues.

You’ll need to be in the office for 1 - 2 days per week and the remaining time you’ll be able to work on site or remotely.

Your role covers all aspects of building surveying – everything from improving customer satisfaction across your local area to providing a value for money service and quality in repairs delivered.

If you’re creative in your problem-solving, energised by supporting your customers and, like us, committed to helping people flourish, we want to hear from you.

To be successful in this role, you’re:

  • resilient with a positive, flexible, compassionate and can-do approach
  • organised with the ability to self-manage a diverse and varied caseload, prioritising work effectively
  • experienced in building surveying, preferably within a social housing context
  • a customer service champion with the passion and drive for excellent customer service
