Fish Island Village and Stonelea and Thornebury have been shortlisted for this year's Inside Housing Development Awards (IHDA).

The IDHA awards celebrate the very best residential developments across the UK from the past two years. You can see the full shortlist here.

Fish Island Village

Shortlisted for Best Development

Fish Island Village is a canal-side neighbourhood on the outskirts of Hackney Wick.

The project is a collaboration with housebuilder Hill and includes 146 affordable homes (72 rented and 74 shared ownership) as well as 57,000 square feet of commercial space, including a restaurant/deli, bar and hot-desking space. The Trampery, a social enterprise, is establishing a new campus for fashion and creative start-ups, complete with dedicated studio space, manufacturing facilities and social spaces.

Stonelea & Thornebury

Shortlisted for Best Affordable Housing Development - £20m+

A 100% affordable development built on former NHS land in Waltham Forest. The scheme provides 79 much-needed new homes, including 43 affordable rented and 36 shared ownership properties. The homes are a mix of modern apartments and houses, all with outdoor space, and are centred around a village square with views of Langthorne Park.

Award winners will be announced on 30 September 2022.
